Things I'm thinking about right now:
- I don't enjoy listening to my baby cry, but he does it a lot, mostly when I put him down to do something else, like the dishes or comb Ashley's hair. Nap time is fabulous at my house, and he is still napping twice a day, thank goodness. I might be completely insane otherwise (as opposed to the partially insane that I currently am).
- I'm trying really hard to get my cholesterol down without medication. I have to have my blood drawn again in a few weeks to see what the numbers are.
- Rochelle is sabotaging my efforts this weekend by inviting me over to her house on Sunday for home made fettuccine Alfredo with artichoke hearts and bacon. It sounds delicious, and deadly. I think I'll be bringing vegetables and filling most of my plate up with those...
- Ashley watches 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours of TV most days (while I work from home). Is that too much?
- I wonder how long Brandon is going to be gone today. He has today off from rotations so he hit the library about an hour ago to do some serious studying for his upcoming test on Internal Medicine. It is only a couple weeks away and the last one was brutal. Brandon was one of the few that passed the end of rotation exam.
- I'm seriously pining for a piano. I stayed up until 11:30 last night looking at them online. I definitely am feeling the upright grand. Should give beautiful sound. Alas, the practical side of me knows that now is not the time to be buying a piano. Maybe in another year...sniffle, sniffle.
- I am starting Yoga. I found some beginner exercises that are supposed to really help with back pain. My back has been hurting a lot for about a month now. I'm sure that it has to do with the crying baby mentioned earlier. Crying grinds on my nerves like you wouldn't believe, so I hold Cody a lot of the day. In addition to aggravating my already injured back, I believe that it has cause a left shoulder injury as well. He is a BIG boy!
- I am feeling encouraged that I may actually be able to get caught up at work. I've been making some headway in the mountain of claims that need to be reviewed. If I stay on track, I could be close to current in another month.
- Some days I think I would like to work in the office for a few hours everyday to get a break from my kids. Then I think about what I would do with my kids while I was at work. I honestly feel like the best place for my kids to be is with me. No one can raise my kids as good as Brandon and I can. After this, I am again content to hang with my kiddos all day.
- My birthday is on Tuesday. I will be 26. I remember thinking that 26 sounded really old. I am on the downhill swing to 30, which sounds really weird. However, I am not disappointed at what I have accomplished thus for in my life. In fact, I am just about where I thought I would be. *insert sigh of relief here*
- Brandon will be done with school in 8 1/2 months. We are definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not sure where I want to live when we get done with school. Well, obviously, wherever he gets a job is where we will live, I'm just not sure where I want to look. We talk about this frequently at my house.
- My dream home has a big fireplace and a wood porch. I love the look of old farm house homes. Those are the two most important features for me. I would be totally buy a complete dive and fix it up if it had those two things. Brandon not so much.
- We need to do our taxes. Blah, I hate that part. I love that we have so little income right now that we actually get a bigger refund than what we paid in taxes. Gotta love the earned income credit.
- I have too much stuff! I need to get rid of probably 20% of what I own. I just threw away a disney train that I played with as a kid yesterday. I've been saving all these years because I loved it soo much. Eventually, I decided that when I had kids they would have fun playing with it too. I pulled it out about a while ago when Gavin was over. It is so old and worn out that it really doesn't work. It isn't fun, it is mostly frustrating. And it can't be repaired. So I got rid of it yesterday. *Sob* Actually, I don't feel too bad. I have plently of other things from my childhood. A broken train won't help me remember any better. And now there is more room in the toy closet for stuff my kids will actually use.
That's all for today. I need to pick up my crying baby...
